From a young age I have had a wide appreciation and interest in the entertainment world. This passion combined with my more creative traits has opened doors working freelance as a project coordinator for the likes of EMI Records, SonyBMG and Orion Books.

WHAT DO I DO?
My role can be anything from just researching/writing liner notes for an upcoming release to fully coordinating projects from start to finish. The latter of which normally involves me devising "themed" projects, selecting song material and suggesting suitable shots for the packaging.

My trademark is to devise innovative projects that have a strong sales pitch aimed to attract not only casual buyers but also appeal to the artist's fan base.

2008...
I am at the early stages of working on a P. J. Proby CD collection for EMI. My desire is to do something special to celebrate and commemorate his 70th birthday. What I have decided to do is set-up a blog detailing my research/following my progress. To read more visit: http://pjproby.blogspot.com.

Also in time for the 45th showbiz anniversary of Liverpudlian singer Cilla Black are two new 2on1 CDs. These I hope will feature four of Cilla's original studio albums from the 1960s and '70s. I have chosen three albums produced by Sir George Martin: Top 10 hit "Sher-oo!", "Surround Yourself with Cilla" and Martin's last album with Black "Day by Day with Cilla". Plus Cilla's only US pop/country album "It Makes Me Feel Good" engineered by David Mackay.

I devised this project to coincide and celebrate Doris Day's 80th birthday. This definitive boxset comprises three themed CDs aimed to showcase Doris's versatility as a songstress including hits, rarities, alternate-takes, a full Columbia album discography, track-by-track notes, mini biography, as well as a series of celebrity anecdotes that I specially obtained from showbiz friends and admirers (e.g. Burt Bacharach, Robert Goulet, Frankie Laine, Sir Paul McCartney, Johnny Mathis, Anne Murray, Olivia Newton-John, Cybill Shepherd and Andy Williams). The proverbial icing on the cake was the kind assistance of Miss Day who provided me with a personal "thank you" and message that she wanted her fans to read. Upon release the CD Set received critical acclaim and support from BBC Radio 2.

This 3CD (80 track) set compiles recordings made during Cilla's signing to the EMI Group (1963-78). Released to coincide with her 60th birthday/40th Anniversary in Showbiz it includes 19 hit-singles, highlights from all 10 of her EMI studio albums. Plus as an added bonus it features 19 tracks that debut on CD format and many previously unreleased songs such as the legendary "I'll Still Love You" (a lost single that was penned for Cilla by the late George Harrison): Packaged with a comprehensive colour booklet it features rare photos, bio, a hand-written message from Cilla plus a wealth of celebrity anecdotes from the likes of Sir George Martin, Sacha Distel and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber etc. Record Collector magazine notably rated this set as one of their "Picks of 2003". A Radio 2 biography on Cilla also featured many of the rarities released on this set.
